Designed by Paul Henon, MacAlister Hall was completed in 1973. Originally it was known as the Educational Activities Center and was later renamed in honor of the university's first president. Currently, this building houses the university bookstore, student organization offices, classrooms, and practice rooms. Among these uses, it also serves as the home of the studios for WKDU and DUTV as well as the College of Arts and Sciences, the Department of Performing Arts, and Instructional Media Services (IRT).
